Your kidneys are one of the most important organs in your body system. The kidneys filter your blood and get rid of waste products that are not needed by the body. In this article, you will learn how the ashitaba plant can help strengthen your kidneys in a natural way.
Ashitaba in a Nutshell
The ashitaba is known as the Japanese celery that has traveled all the way from China to Japan. Research says that the ashitaba plant has long been kept as a secret from the Ming Dynasty of China to the Shogun warriors only among the elites. It’s like an elixir of life, used as a tonic and a source of life longevity. One of the known benefits it proclaims is that it strengthens the kidneys.
How to Look After Your Kidneys Every Day
Your kidneys are crucial in getting rid of waste products carried in your blood vessels and veins. They select and filter which among the food or drink you intake does not contain any nutritional properties. These waste elements are thrown down your bladder through ureters and released as urine. You may treat is as your automatic waste disposal system which also functions to balance the amount of fluids you have inside.
Something is Wrong with Your Kidneys If…
To keep awareness regarding kidney problems, notice your urine every time you pee. If there is blood, then you might be in trouble. This is because kidneys already fail to stop red blood cells from flowing and going into the urine. So immediately check with your doctor for other symptoms and confirm your sickness.
When things come to worse, you will have to undergo dialysis with a help of special machine used in hospital and now can be bought to be personally used at home. This machine acts like your natural kidney that washes and cleans your blood. The worst thing that can happen is that both your kidneys fail to do their job. When it gets to this complication, you may have to undertake a kidney transplant to extend your life.
How to Prevent Kidney Problems with Ashitaba
When you’re perfectly normal, take as much water as you can throughout the day. Doctors advise six to eight glasses of water to replenish fluids in your body. Maintain a healthy diet as always to get the vitamins and minerals your body needs. Another way to do it is to take ashitaba tea, ashitaba injections ashitaba capsule or tablets, or the ashitaba leaf itself.
As a detoxifier, ashitaba helps the kidneys to regulate the six to eight liters of blood and filter fluids many times a day. Ashitaba is also good for your kidneys because it acts as a diuretic that increases urine output. It also produces vitamin D actively so that your body will be triggered to make more red blood cells as needed.
What’s more, science suggests that the kidneys make a hormone that can constrict the arteries in the body. When they become malfunctioned or less effective as your health gets poorer, the tendency is that blood pressure will rise. Ashitaba helps to change your blood pressure and return it back to normal. It has compounds that make sure that blood gets to all parts of your body, enhancing just what the kidney does.
Hi! My relatives are using ashitaba leaves. They drink the sap from boiled or shaked leaves 🙂
Great to hear that. 😀
It is really amazing to know about the healthy benefits you get from Ashitaba. I just wish it becomes readily available anywhere in the country!
Yes, I also wish haha but that would be when temperature here in the Philippines becomes lower.
We can have ashitaba plant here in Philippines! In fact I plant some in our backyard.
Nice to know that there's another diuretic available. How much water does it help remove from the body though? I'm just concerned about getting dehydrated afterwards or something. 🙁 Or do we need to drink more than two liters of water (including an Ashitaba infusion) to get the most out of this wonder herb?
I haven't thought that this herb can reduce water content from our bodies. It doesn't work like Gatorade or anything like that which causes water retention.
So it also helps the kidneys Ashitaba is really helpful.
Yup. But you should drink a lot of water as well to help flash out toxins.
This is the first time I heard about this.. As a physician, infos like this is very helpful so I would update myself on latest trend out there…
It will be great if physicians will also appreciate medicinal herbs apart from their Western medicine recommendations. Know what works and you can suggest this to your patients as well.
Hi. I'm really interested in this Ashitaba Plant not for me but for my Nanay. She's diabetic you see. I wonder if this may help her health. But her doctor already told her to stay away from herbal medicines.
I wonder why that's the reaction of your mom's doctor. Hmmm many doctors nowadays are open to trying herbal medicine as supplements to their prescribed medicine. You can probably ask other trusted doctors you know for second advice.
