In fashion terms, the right tailoring can take you from lumpy to leading man or lady. Health-wise, even if you’re wearing the most exquisite suit crafted with the best tailoring, you won’t look like a stunning guy or gal if have blisters and other skin conditions related to diabetes. Your face and body will show that you have high sugar levels, and you are one to be left behind as the wallflower.
To solve this…
Limit your intake of sugary and sweet food, drink lots of water and eat more vegetables. In addition, have a regular workout and exercise activities to keep your body fit.
All these are clichés that have been established all around the world. True enough, they are effective if sustained well. Some people incorporate injecting insulin, taking maintenance medicine and natural supplements to their dietary needs for treating diabetes. In this article, we’ll talk about how ashitaba reduces your sugar levels.
Just the Right Natural Supplement For You: Tomorrow Leaf Plant
Ashitaba or “tomorrow leaves” is a unique green vegetable that has a sweet herb-like taste and has no known contraindications. Tomorrow leaves contain thick yellow sap rich in the highly potent antioxidant flavonoids known as chalcones. Remember this word for it contributes a lot to the “super” power of this dried 100% whole “longevity herb.”
To name some of its health benefits, chalcones guard our body against heart problems, cancer, oxidation of LDL cholesterol, kidney and liver problems, PMS, osteoporosis, Alzheimer’s disease and diabetes.
Ashitaba for Diabetics
To date, there is mounting data that suggest that ashitaba can regulate blood sugar levels. Dr Kevin Lance Jones, a licensed acupuncturist and orthomolecular medical doctor (OMD) from California, in the US, says:
“There is a patient in Texas that has insulin-dependent (Type 1) diabetes who is currently taking the herb. He says that he now has to use less insulin because his blood sugar no longer spikes with attacks of hyperglycaemia. Another diabetes patient in Japan took ashitaba for six months and his blood sugar level dropped from 400 mg/dl to 150 mg/dl.”
In his review on ashitaba, it has been proven that ashitaba really helps to stabilize blood sugar levels and improve insulin response in diabetics. Ashitaba harmonizes the spleen and stomach and helps to balance the earth element in our bodies. If you want to be relieved of diabetes, you know what to do.
How to Take Tomorrow Leaves
The recommendation is to take 1.5 to 2 grams of tomorrow leaves (equivalent to one teaspoon) once or twice daily before meals. If you want, you can prepare it as tea (just boil water with it), juice (add to the already-made drink), or additional element in salads and other food.
OMG! Cringe. >_< I have a sweet-tooth and mostly can't control my cravings! I think i need to start writing down what I eat.
Wahaha you should! Be healthy always.
I'm a sweet-tooth, too, and I'm actually eating chocolate cream-o right now, I feel so guilty. Anyway, have you heard of stevia? It's a sweet leaf, too, great alternative for sugar.
Yeah I have. Actually I was planning to grow stevia also in our garden. I will have to read more about it and learn how to take care of the plant. 😀
I've heard about the wonders of ashitaba in lowering sugar levels. My aunt tried it and she can personally vouch for its effectiveness.:)
Wow. That's a really great testimony. Hope that more people can be blessed with the wonders of ashitaba.
Ashitaba sounds like a great sugar alternative. Care to share your own personal experience with the plant? How long did it take you to notice changes on your body? Thanks.
I don't have personal testimonies that ashitaba has cured my diabetes because I don't have one (thank goodness). I am very meticulous on the food I consume and I exercise every day to make sure that I burn all the sugars and fats I got from the food I ate.
For testimonials, you can read this book by Gretchen Wells (Amazon Kindle edition): http://www.amazon.com/The-Ashitaba-Miracle-Diseases-ebook/dp/B00C0EOSAW
She has illustrated some stories of people whose sugar levels went low because of ashitaba and all they do now is to maintain taking of ashitaba tea for overall health benefit.
Another new healthy feature of Ashitaba as it can control our sugar levels.
Yup, there are many herbal medicine that serves as remedies available today. Some work better than others, so if you know anyone who is diabetic, you might want to suggest ashitaba 'cause wala naman mawawala hehe. It all depends on your body and your genetics. No cure works one hundred percent of the time for everyone.
another great effect of Ashitaba.. perfect for those who are diabetic.. 🙂
Yeah but of course, eating healthy for the rest of your life ensures that you too can be free of this disease returning.
Good thin I saw your post about sugar level. It reminded me of getting the glucometer that my aunt sent for my dad so I can always check on his (and my stepmother's) sugar level.
Oh hehe okay. You should regularly check on that!
Interesting article. I'll share this with my lola who is a diabetic. Hopefully it works on her 🙂
Yes, you can do that. Diabetes does not have to be a life threatening disease. It is possible and probable with natural remedies to allow the patient to live a normal and healthy life. 😀
Reading articles such as this makes me want to be more careful with what I eat 🙂
Yes. 🙂 While there are several drugs available to treat diabetes, the consensus in the medical fraternity is that medication ought to be an addition to a disciplined diet management and regular exercise program. This applies to herbal drugs too – merely changing over to a herbal remedy is not a final solution; regulating your diet and exercising regularly are still key to the effective management of diabetes.
i have low blood pressure… 70/50 can i take ashitaba???
Yes, I have low blood pressure, too: 80/60 but still take ashitaba regularly.
I am diabetic, is it better to munch on ashitaba leaves, atleast 2 leaves a day?
I think 2 leaves won't be enough for your case. It's better to take about 4 leaves. There is no such thing as overdose anyway so you can take more as you want but four may be enough. 🙂
